This group of ladies had far too much fun while I was working hard!  Just kidding. We all had fun with this session.  They decided to order a proof book from the session, and here is the cover (the title was entirely their idea!):

Family gatherings are the perfect time to have a professional portrait made of the whole group.  Everyone’s already together, and portraits make great gifts for Grandparents and Great-Grandparents.

Note: Appointments may not be available Sundays at noon or 3pm from Sept-Dec (as well as the occasional Sunday, Monday or Thursday night).

Just kidding.  That’s why we have DVR.  Besides, there’s not much to watch lately.

Tim, Maria and Leo had so much fun with their family portraits, they had to bring Grandma and Grandpa along for some!

Kathy called to schedule their family portrait, hoping I could work with their need for a tentative, and possibly last minute date.  Her oldest son was going to be on leave from defending our country for just a few days.  And, as those with family in the military know, just exactly which days were to be determined.  I completely understood, since my little brother is in the service as well, and was glad to be able to help create their family portrait.

When taking family portraits, I always try to get some “breakdowns” … smaller groups such as just the boys or mother and child.  And this precious image is one of the many reasons why.
