Pumpkin Patch Pics

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

I’ll be at Powell Pumpkin Patch Sunday, Oct 11th and 18th, from 10am-5pm to take pictures of you and your family!  (weather permitting, of course)

For these special event photos, there’s no session fee, and I’ll be taking orders on the spot.  Sheets are $10 each, plus buy 2 get 1 free!  Shipping is $2.50.  So come on down, and bring your checkbook (no credit cards can be accepted) … or cash if you prefer.

Admission to the patch is always free!  Check out their website for info on all the fun things to do while you’re there.

T-Ball 2009

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

Our first attempt at baseball went well.  Tucker had a great time, and even learned a few things.  It was also our first venture with a Blue Valley Rec sports league, and I’d say it ran smoothly.  We’d do it again (though hopefully we won’t get stuck with the 8am Saturday practice time again … we are not morning people).

Egg Hunt @ Midland Railway

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

This was our second time out to the Midland Railway’s Easter Bunny Train.  If you’ve never been out to the train, check it out.  They have some really cool events throughout the year.  For the egg hunt, we took a 20min or so train ride from Baldwin City past Nowhere, KS and on to Norwood, KS.  There we got out, and had the egg hunt, and then headed back to Baldwin. The kids also got to have a picture with the Easter Bunny during the train ride.

Ye Olde Fun!

Sunday, September 14th, 2008

The KC Renaissance Festival is one of my favorite annual events.  My dad used to take us each year for as long as I can remember, and I’ve started the tradition with my little guy.  There are lots of activities for the kids, and some really unique products for sale.  Check out their website for details and special events they have each week (and there’s usually a ticket discount as well).  If you do go, wear your walking shoes, and make sure to eat a turkey leg and watch the fire-eater’s show!

(I didn’t bring my camera, as usual, but that’s why we have camera phones now!)
